The Tacos & Tamales Festivale in Pilsen did better than I expected.
There were 10 Taco vendors, and 10 Tamale vendors, live music, and LOCAL Artists.
We set up on 16th street, in front of many of Pilsen’s fantastic murals.
The weather was hot and not too humid, very sunny, and not too windy.
People of all age groups, all ethnicity, and all levels of sobriety. It was great fun.
My boothmate was the lovely Jaqui Arte, out of Indiana. She rode the train here with a suitcase full of goodies. So hard core!
And we had a paint swap, to end the night!
Teresa chose the category — Sexy lady. We set the timer for 10 minutes and painted our sexy lady.
When the timer went off, we SWITCHED paintings, and set the timer for another 10 mins. We finished each other’s paintings, and the style collaboration was awesome!!
Were you there?
Did you try the tacos??!!
