About Me

I’m Alejandra- muralist, painter, teacher, and maker, creating art that’s deeply inspired by nature, community, and purpose.

Since 2002, I’ve painted everything from large-scale murals to cozy home interiors, taught art classes for children and adults, and run art studios like Sip n Splash and The Surreal Rabbit in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood.

I continue to share my work through in-person events, creative workshops, and my Etsy shop, where I sell original paintings, handmade beeswax candles and crafts, bookmarks, and bookish art.

A single mom of little boys, art is not only my passion—it’s a large part of how I support my family.

Much of my work is created on upcycled and reclaimed materials, giving new life to what might otherwise be discarded.

We grow food and inspiration in our garden, and spend most of our days outdoors—climbing trees, exploring the woods, and chasing sunsets.
The colors within those skies often find their way into my art.

Art isn’t just something I do—it’s how I live, how I mother, and part of how I stay grounded.
Thank you for visiting and have a blessed day.
